About this supervisor

Kathryn Toohey

About my practice

I offer supervision in response to my desire to see our profession grow stronger and wiser together. After working in community health for a decade and supervising students on placement, I went into the academic world as a teacher and course coordinator. Now, back out the other side of academia I choose to work almost exclusively with kids with disabilities and their families.

I adore working in a multi-disciplinary team with the tricky problems. Digging deep, staying curious and working from a strengths based approach to find practical solutions to complex nutrition problems is my jam! I recognise there's no "rule book" for this approach taught at uni or any one place in particular, yet we can bring so much compassion, understanding and skill with us.

Through supervision and shared reflective practice I love seeing others find their way of integrating evidence based (and/or informed) practice with their own flare. I provide a safe, honest and supportive environment to explore your practice and grow in knowledge and confidence while looking after yourself.

Happy to talk further to see if we would be a good fit.
