Jodie is the founder of Optimum Intake Dietitians & Myrtle Oak Clinic. With a vision to provide a welcoming space for people struggling with food, body image, exercise, and weight issues, a place where people can access compassionate care and treatment via a collaborative approach of psychological and dietary services. Jodie understands the unique obstacles, challenges and often isolating experience of working in the private practice setting.
As an Accredited Dietitian and Accredited Nutritionist, graduating from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor or Health Sciences (Nutrition and Dietetics) Jodie provides nutritional counselling, eating disorder interventions, and supervision to a wide range of individuals and dietitian professionals. She has received training and experience in delivering, several eating disorder nutritional treatment models for both individuals and families and is a skilled Maudsley Family Therapist. She is committed to on-going professional development and provides supervision to other clinicians wanting to further their skills working with evidence-based treatments, particularly Maudsley Family Therapy. Jodie also holds position on the Dietitians Australia (DA)’s Eating Disorder Interest Group and is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Eating Disorders.
